Wanting the best for your child is your major priority.
We don’t hear their words. Your child may not know how to verbalize the traumatized memories inside his brain.
But the lurking memories can cause your child to have difficulty forming relationships. This might happen with friends – or family members. Finding ways to communicate effectively with a child who doesn’t want to speak about something extremely upsetting can be especially upsetting to you, the parent.
Finding the right path leads from chaos to peace and love.
Children who have experienced trauma can get stuck in survival mode and prevent them from forming healthy relationships, which coincidentally puts you in survival mode.
We are focused on helping children find biological, psychological, and familial pathways to help them transition out of survival/trauma mode and into attachment and love.
Light eliminates darkness and leads to communication.
Through family therapy, we teach communication pathways that will help heal chaos and create bonding opportunities.
During family therapy, the child and parents will tackle whatever is needed in a safe and calm environment.
Many have found our unique approach to family therapy to be a light shining in the darkness.
Play can lead to healing.
Sometimes children, especially children who’ve experienced trauma, have difficulty talking through their experiences.
Sand tray therapy uses toys and creating a sand tray world to help children find healing through the pathway of play.
Need an extra cuddle?
Jasper the therapy dog can help.
Studies have shown that dogs have an ability to connect with us in a unique and healing way. And we have just the dog!
Jasper, a hypoallergenic Labradoodle, is highly skilled at connecting and would love to sit by you during your therapy session.
Intensive therapy is available.
Many families want to use these multiple pathways for healing in a brief two-week intensive.
This will include 2-3 sessions of Neurofeedback and 1 session of Family therapy and/or EMDR every weekday at a discounted rate.
We do take the weekends off because brains, much like our bodies, need rest.
Travelers are welcome to participate.
Families traveling from out of state are most welcome and have found Boise and the surrounding Treasure Valley to be an inviting place to visit.
There is plenty to do and see on the weekends, as well as a plethora of parks and hiking right in the city.
We have created documents that list great places to visit, restaurants to try, and hotel accommodations close to our office.
